“Sense”-sational Science!

Class Schedule: 45 minutes; 8 week sessions (not offered Spring session)

Ages: 3-5

Curriculum and Objectives:

Classes are designed to generate kids’ interest in science and encourage them to develop questions about our natural world. They will have opportunities to question and problem solve alongside their peers in a supportive environment.

In class we will explore things like…

• What is a scientist?  Exploring science practices
• Movement and motion of objects: rolling, spinning, and balance
• The growth and development of living things: plants and animals

• Weather and Climate
• The roles of water on earth: cycles and systems of water
• Earth materials: properties of rocks and minerals
